I love stories. Always have.
That’s partly why I started this little blog, so I could have my own personal corner of the world wide web to share my stories with you.
A story is a powerful thing, and the amazing part about a story is that everyone has one. We all have our own uniqueness, our own experiences, our own paths in life. We all have special stories that belong only to us. No one has the exact same story as you! Isn’t that neat? Kind of makes you feel special, huh?
When my friend Ashley contacted me about running a giveaway for Origami Owl, I was so excited, not only because I had heard such positive things about Origami Owl, but also because of the idea behind it.
These beautiful “Living Lockets” aren’t just a piece of ordinary jewelry. They are a unique way to display your own personal story right around your neck and close to your heart. I love that!
From the Origami Owl website:
Every jewelry creation serves as a reminder of who you are, where you have been, where you are going and the dreams you carry in your heart. So, look inside yourself to create fun, fashionable, meaningful jewelry that is as unique as you are.
I was given my own Living Locket to review, and boy was it difficult to choose. After lots of going back and forth, I decided on the Medium Matte Black Living Locket and my children’s initials. At this season in my life, my children are my primary focus as I try to bring them up in the ways of the Lord. God has blessed me with these two precious gifts and they along with my husband are the most important things in my life on this earth. Our story together is often messy and exhausting, but it’s beautiful and the most fun I’ve ever had. If you’ve ever been around kids, you know that you never know what will come out of their mouths or what hilarious thing they are going to do next.
What did I think?
I was very impressed with the quality. From the packaging to the strong construction of the locket, everything was very high quality and very beautiful.
I don’t always wear a lot of jewelry as I’m not a very “fancy” person, but I have reached for my Living Locket more days than not over the past couple of weeks. It goes with almost everything in my wardrobe since it’s a neutral color and I love that it has a “purpose” to it. It looks great and has meaning behind it.
I am looking forward to adding to my locket over time. The locket itself I’m sure will last a very long time. Charms, dangles, and plates can be added to change the look as your tastes change or as your individual story changes over time. The possibilities are endless.
