This is just a little something fun to give you a peek into our daily lives. It’s not all staged pictures of food and organized natural living around our house. It’s always an adventure around here. Enjoy!
We live in a house that was built in the 60s. We still have all the original windows, which are beautiful, but I will let you imagine just how efficient they are. We’ve been slowly adding plastic covering over the windows to keep out the cold. Surprisingly it really has helped. This week we did our bedroom windows.
My daughter is obsessed with spas even though she has never actually been to one. This particular day we had a spa day of our own at home with a mud mask, cucumbers, coconut oil massage, foot soaks, and pedicures. She’s a mess.
We had someone that *possibly attempted to break into our house earlier in the week. My kids set up booby traps in the house using my sewing thread. I came out of the shower and found this ALL over the house. Quite the imagination, those two.
We got rid of a third of the toys, and kept out 3 toys each and put the rest up in their closets. So far it’s working fabulously!
Other noteworthy happenings that didn’t have a picture:
We’re STILL juggling have no or one vehicle since I crashed ours in the driveway. Not fun, my friends. I have a new respect for those without a vehicle or those that share a car. It’s HARD!
We traveled out of town this week to my dear aunt’s funeral. It was a sweet time of celebration of her life with family and friends and rejoicing that she is no longer suffering.
Lots of fun church activities including our 10 year anniversary on staff at our church, kids’ club for our neighboring elementary schools, and a super bowl party at our house with our youth group.
Ham, butternut squash, salad
